Initial Course

Course designed to train reactor operators

Initial Course

This is a 20-week training course designed to study basic nuclear reactor theory, power plant equipment and to provide operational training.

Training period:20 weeks

Phase1 Classroom Study(reactor theory, etc.)

Classroom Study(reactor theory, etc.)

6 weeks
Trainees study the basic theory of PWR plants.
Phase2 Classroom Study (PWR plant systems & components)

Classroom Study (PWR plant systems & components)

6 weeks
Trainees study the systems, control and safety features of PWR plants.
Phase3 Simulator Training

Simulator Training

8 weeks
Trainees study the skills needed to operate nuclear plants in normal, abnormal and emergency conditions.
